What is a Feeling or Emotion? -An emotional state or reaction Example: “I feel sad” or Stevie looks happy! Less than 100% Feelings: -Sad -Lonely -Frustrated -Overwhelmed -Worried -Scared
Sad A feeling of unhappiness. Ex. Laura is feeling Sad because her friend did not say hello to her.
Frustrated A feeling of anger or annoyance caused by being unable to do something. Ex. Matt is Frustrated because he can’t tie his shoe.
Worried To feel or show fear and concern because you think that something bad has happened or could happen. Ex. Sara is Worried about the Test.
Lonely Sad feelings that come from being apart from other people. Ex. Chase is Lonely because no one will play with him at recess.
Overwhelmed To affect someone very strongly or cause someone to have too many things to deal with. Ex. Jennifer is feeling Overwhelmed by all of the homework she has to complete.
Scared Feeling of being afraid or frightened of something. Ex. Michael was Scared by the loud sound.
