TransAM from 10,000 Feet For States Statewide Capital Inventory of Transit Assets One statewide system rather than investment in separate federal, state, local systems Quick and easy access to capital data • Facilitate the Annual Grant Management Process • Ties capital projects to physical assets – Review process • Visibility into capital requirements – Prioritization of capital projects • Better planning for state and federal funds Better Predict Capital Needs Asset trend data by agency/region/vendor Development of innovative/statewide procurement methods to ensure economies of scale • Enhanced Reporting at All Levels • Identification of funding needs/gaps • Statewide–Legislators – Regions – Planning Partners – Transit Organizations

TransAM from 10,000 Feet For Transit Organizations . • Capture and Maintain an Accurate Inventory of Transit Assets • Rolling Stock – Facilities – Equipment Record Annual and Final Disposition of Assets • Provide the Basis for a Capital Planning Process that is Needs-Driven • Replacement – Rehabilitation – Expansion • Maintain a Needs-Driven List of Financially Constrained Capital Projects • Help prioritize projects Apply for Matching Funds Facilitate Federal and State reporting * Full Funding Grant Agreement

  8. Where we are today • Rolling stock inventories from transit operators throughout PA • 78 percent of agencies reporting • Nearly 6,300 rolling stock assets loaded • First iteration of TransAM now available for testing at BPT • Beta testing coming soon
