Expectations & Requirements The expectations of the WorkFirst program are to prepare for work or look for work as close to full-time as possible. The requirements consist of completing a Comprehensive Evaluation with your case manager, then developing an Individual Responsibility Plan (IRP). Communication with your case manager is important so that they can develop the best plan for you and make adjustments as needed. Revised October 2019

Child Care Working Connections Child Care program helps pay for child care so that you can participate in WorkFirst activities. For some families, the co-pay can be as little as $15 per month. WorkFirst Sanction When a participant enters sanction their grant is reduced by 40 percent. Once in sanction, a person will need to participate in a WorkFirst activity for 28 consecutive days to cure their sanction. It is always best to communicate with your case manager if you are unable to participate in your WorkFirstactivity as expected. Revised October 2019
TANF Time Limits An adult can receive a maximum of 60 months (five years)of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) in their lifetime. Revised October 2019
