  2. 12th European Conference onInformation Warfare and Security, ECIW2013 As in previous years, ECIW2013 will address elements of both theory and practice of all aspects of Information Warfare and Security, and offers an opportunity for academics, practitioners and consultants involved in these areas to come together and exchange ideas.  We want to continue in emphasizing the area of Cyber Security, Cyber Defence and Social Media. The field of Cyber Security and Defencehas long been characterized by the lack of a holistic approach. Cyber Security and Defencemust be based on a comprehensive approach. Social Media is more important to everybody in the future virtual world.

  4. The city of Jyväskylä Jyväskylä was founded in 1837. The city of Jyväskylä is located in the lake district of Central Finland. Jyväskylä´s population growth rate is one of the highest in Finland, currently the population is at 132 000. The City of Jyväskylä is the seventh largest city in Finland.

  5. The University of Jyväskylä The University of Jyväskylä has its roots in the first Finnish-speaking teacher training college, established by Uno Cygnaeus in 1863. The University of Jyväskylä has 15 000 degree students, who together with the adult education students constitute a total of 40 000 students. Our students come from all over Finland and abroad, from some 100 countries. The number of staff is 2 600, and the annual budget is approximately 200 million euro.
