Overview of the trip • Experience the alpine life and fun in the snow! • Visit historic sites and Geneva’s United Nations • Sample Swiss trademarks: cheese, chocolate, watches. • Learn French in an authentic environment. • Develop cooperation and team building skills. • Develop alpine skills such as: skiing, skating, etc. • Bond with classmates in a unique setting.

  3. The company: Les Elfes • The company has been established since 1987 • A fully supervised after-ski and night activities program for all students (ratio 1 adult to 5 students). • Professional ski or snowboard teachers . • A high ratio of staff to students in all classes. • The camp chefs offer balanced diverse meals. • Conversational French taught on-site

  4. Our chalets are very high quality with en suite bathrooms (and showers) in all rooms, and full daily cleaning.

Schedule Part I • Jan.27th – Departure from IPS to Bahrain at 9pm. • Jan.28th – Departure from Bahrain to Geneva (1am.) • Jan. 28th – Visit of Geneva and United Nations, Old city (sleep Geneva) • Jan. 29th – Visit Gruyeres – cheese making factory and town (sleep Verbier) • Jan. 30th – Day of skiing + curling in the evening (sleep Verbier) • Jan. 31st – Day of skiing + broomball (sleep Verbier)

Schedule Part II • Feb.1st – Day of activities around camp (orienteering, survival first aid, snowshoeing) • Feb.2nd – Day of optional skiing (sleep Verbier) • Feb.3rd – Team building + Culminating BBQ on mountain (sleep Verbier) • Feb.4th – Visit the town of Verbier + Glacier of Mont-Fort w/cable car (sleep Verbier) • Feb.5th – Leave from Geneva to Bahrain (arriving in Bahrain @ 7:45pm)

  11. Equipment • Hiking or winter boots • Winter hat and gloves • 1 Suitcase or back pack following the airline’s weight requirement • 1 Day pack (with shoulder straps) • Camera • *There will be a detailed equipment list for those coming on the trip*

  12. Cost per student • Flights: 2851 sr. • Resort (entrances+ski+meals+activities+equip.): 6428 sr. • Rental of our OWN bus to Bahrain: 110 sr. TOTAL: 9520 sr. ≈ 10000 sr. + shopping money (personal)

  13. Payment/meeting schedule • Sept. 6th – Meeting with participants and parents • Sept.16th – First payment due to purchase flights (2851 sr.) + 20% deposit for the camp (2000 sr.) • = 4851 sr. = 5000 sr. due September 16th. • Last payment due November 2nd.
