setting up Parental Controls • In the control panel double click on. • Click on "Parental Controls" in the bottom left corner of the Window . • Now choose the account you want to control or create a new account • The following window appears:
setting up Parental Controls • Enable parental controls by choosing "On, enforce current settings". • If you want to collect information about computer usage select "On, collect information about computer uage" under "Activity reporting". Note: This will collect all data relating to websites browsed, files downloaded, system logon times, applications run, games played, etc. see the following report
setting up Parental Controls(Windows Vista Web Filter) • choose web filter to allow or block web content • Allow Specific web sites • Allow or block web automatically by choose your own web restriction level. • You can also block file downloads. (See the following picture)
setting up Parental Controls • Back to user control • You can choose to let the user use the computer only at certain times • Black boxes indicate times that the user cannot be logged on and white ones indicate times that are permitted. • See the following picture
setting up Parental Controls The permitted times here are 3:00 AM to 8:00 PM all days except Thursday and Friday
setting up Parental Controls • Back to user control • You can choose if the user permitted to play games or not • You can also block some specific games. (see bellow)
