Facts on Cupid • Parents: Aphrodite and Ares • Spouse/ Lover: Psyche • Siblings: Harmonia, Anteros, Himeros, Phobos, Adrestia and Deimos • Children: Voluptus • Symbols: Bow and Arrows, Candy, Love, Hearts, Kisses, Wings, Blindfold • Power: To cause love • Weakness: Easily falls into other peoples games • Identification: Fair, very handsome • Important Events: Valentine’s Day, caused himself to fall in love with Psyche
Background Info on Psyche • In the beginning was a mortal • Was the most beautiful woman in the world • Was made immortal so that her and Cupid could play together forever • Many treated her like a goddess because of her beauty • She was so beautiful that no one dared to propose to her • Lived in the woods looking for her lover • Never got to see her lover and once she found out that he was a god, she went to the temples and made sacrifices to figure out who he was • Aphrodite spoke up and revealed that Psyche’s lover was no other than her son, Cupid • Turned into the Goddess of Soul
