  1. Report Site Transition (SE-24) Stakeholder Feedback Session MV Web (metering files) Migration Nicholas Ingman August 28, 2007

  2. Background • The migration of MV Web application from the current market Participant Interface (MPI) - in conjunction with the publishing of reports to the IESO Reports Site - will remove the need for many users to maintain a digital certificate • The IESO has initiated a project to migrate the MV Web application to the IESO Portal by late 2007/early 2008

  3. High Level Overview Programmatic access to MV Web using EDI remains unchanged

  4. Transition • There will be a transition period of at least 3 months during which time participants will be able to access the metering application via either the MPI or Portal • The decommissioning of access to MV Web via the MPI will be performed under a Market Facing Release

  5. Impact on Participants • Users will no longer require a digital certificate to access their metering data and confidential reports • Users who represent multiple market participants (when using the Portal) will no longer need to login with multiple credentials to access metering data for which they are authorized. • Programmatic access via EDI will remain unchanged.

  6. Impact on Participants • Users who already have a userID and password for the portal will be able to access the metering application via the portal once available • Participants who have a version 7digital certificate can, if they wish, continue to use their certificate to access the metering application via the portal • The migration of accounts for existing MV Web users is still to be determined, however users who wish to discontinue the use of digital certificates will need to work with the IESO to gain a userID and password. Specific details will be communicated at a later date
