  2. Introduction • Stereotyping has been around since man began. • It is very common • I have experienced stereotyping many times on both sides

  3. My Experience • I said something that someone I did not say it to found offensive. • I used a fairly common racial stereotype • The people I said it to found it funny, but someone else decided to confront me about it. • I walked away calmly

  4. My Thoughts • I wondered what I did and what I could have done to make things better • It made me question my sensitivity toward other’s feelings • I may have been in the wrong. I made a careless mistake and should not have joked around too much

  5. Conclusion • I don’t think that stereotyping is wrong, but can be helpful sometimes • I’m sadly not very sympathetic to other people’s feelings about stereotypes • Stereotyping is not a big problem in my eyes despite this issue • It is still dangerous and people need to be more aware of that
