Purpose of this session • Introduce new role • Run through objectives of role • Get feedback from CDBs on how we can work together most effectively over the next year
Overview of the role • Runs from 1st April 2011 to 31st March 2012 • Creating a legacy from MLFW project • Transferring learning and skills from the governance strand to Co-operatives UK membership, especially in close collaboration with CDBs
Objectives of the role • Establish framework for sharing knowledge on good governance across co-operative sector • Build stronger relationships between Co-operatives UK and members, especially CDBs • Start to pin down process of co-operative development (including Co-operatives UK’s role in this) > more consistent and clearer approach
MLFW: useful outputs to date • Online Select a Structure and Governance Audit • Simply Legal • Simply Governance & Simply Finance (spring 2011) • From Conflict to Co-operation • Referrals to the Co-operative Enterprise Hub • Training events • More and better community food enterprises • …anything else, or any specific examples?
