The Vision • A Passport designed to fit local and national context • An electronic Passport for Progression managed by the student • A Passport where achievements electronically verified • The beginnings of a lifelong e-portfolio used to make applications electronically at key transition points

Integration and Interoperability • Tight coupling with Student Records, sharing relevant data and user authentication common to all IS systems • XML interoperability with other systems • UK LIP – defined subset for ePARs and Nottingham Passport • Need to agree lowest common denominator for the protocol to be successful
