The diction used is abstract, descriptive and technical. Words such as “travel”, “come back” and “Two roads illustrate the narrators personal journey describes through the poem. In using “I” the reader can see that the poem is in first person. The word “road” and “Two” used is not literal but describes the different options life has. Diction

Teenagers are constantly doing things which they shouldn’t and parents get mad. The relationship is not connected and expressed which makes up all the writing the daughter does. “I”, “Young she is”, “bunched clamor” and “darling” conveys the parent’s view and love towards their daughter. The story of the “dazed starling” expressed the parents feeling of her child filled with failures and enclosed. Language
The sentence structure used in this poem is describing the daughters life to the story of the starling then goes to the parent’s wishes of her daughters life. There is no rhyming scheme.
