Competition Categories For Autonomous Robots • Intermediate Level (Individual Robots) • Line Following • Fight Club (Mini Sumo) • Labyrinth Discovery • Advanced Level (Cooperative Robots) • BARPA Stock Car Race Robots: Multiple line-following robots race simultaneously on the same field. • Mini Sumo Teams: Mini Sumo Robots fight as a team of three members against enemy’s team. • Cooperative Labyrinth Discovery (CLD): Multiple (intelligent/semantic) robots cooperate to find exit(s). Competing @IJRC 2008 • Indiviuals or teams of 2-3 students / staff • Each competing indiviual/team sponsors (provides) own robot(s) • Sponsoring a robot(s): • Build / Assemble / Buy, • Program / Adjust / Test for the platform • Register @IJRC 2008 for the intended category • All expenses are born by the sponsors • Extra-curricular activity • Introductory robotics training will be offered free of charge by a consorsium of volunteering faculty.
