Spring Term Art This term, Year 2 have been looking carefully at ‘patterns’. We looked at natural and man-made patterns.
We then looked at Rangoli patterns. Rangoli patterns are colourful Indian designs drawn on the floor near the entrance to a house to welcome guests. They are traditionally drawn using rice grains, flour, sand or chalk. We decided to create our own Rangoli pattern using the computer.
These are some Rangoli examples that we looked at before we created our own Rangoli patterns.
We worked very hard to create our computer graphic! We hope you enjoy looking at our slide show of our Rangoli designs.
