Desktop Screen Desktop screens can have different layout and amount of information on them compared to a smart phone, a desktop has more processing power and a larger screen so it can handle more information on each page and contain more on screen Desktop screen size on average 1024px by 760px

  3. Break points Break point is the size of a webpage at which the layout of the page changes e.g. when you shrink the page, a three column page will become two than one column Otherwise if you go onto a website designed specifically for a smartphone monitor from your desktop it will appear smaller and crammed onto one page and vice versa.
