  3. Current Position & Measurement Options • Current position. Anchor button drops a target marker at your current position. • Caliper button • Click a point on chart to measure from • Drag mouse to point to measure to • Read distance in “Total Distance:” box displayed in both • feet and miles.

  4. Ship & Tow Configuration • Ruler Button: • Click to display ship configuration window • Barges / Tow Configuration • Boat Dimensions (Locked) • Sensor Offset (Locked) • Safety Depth • Prediction Timer Interval

  5. Ship Configuration Window Off Limits do not change Ship Distance or Sensor offsets. Other items may be changed, see following slides

  14. Insert User Object Allows you to draw objects using mouse. Click on start position, move mouse to next position, click, etc. When finished Right click to complete action.

  18. Edit eLog • Make notations of any kind • If you insert position it allows you to go to that entries position by selecting the coordinates and clicking on Go To. Good place to crash here.

  19. Channel CPA Display • Direction: On OHR select your ships direction • Center: CPA button will center screen on CPA point. Target will center target vessel. • Select Track AIS Target • Click on target to track • Click on Show CPA Area • Close

  20. Quick Mark • Drop Object Type: You can choose from all items available from the “Special Objects” menu. Buoys, dolphins, wrecks, lights, etc. • Drop Direction:Drops object in direction relative to boat to Port, Starboard, or on a measured bearing • Distance: (sm) The measured distance (from Radar VRM reading) in the selected direction. • Relative Bearing(degrees): With radar screen centered and using the EBL feature, enter the bearing in degrees relative to the boat along with range. (Hint: you can set to zero degrees and range it to your header line and drop on your point.
