  3. Purpose of a CV • A sales brochure for you • A marketing document in which you are marketing something: yourself! • You need to "sell" your skills, abilities, qualifications and experience to employers

  4. Employers view • Within seconds an employer knows if the applicant is: • Unprofessional • Unorganised • Clumsy • Not serious • Has no attention for detail • Unemployable • Or, that they are the opposite.

This involved planning, organisation , coordination and commitment. In retail this ensured daily sales targets were met, tasks were fairly distributed and there was effective team communication.
