Our film combines elements of traditional horror with unique twists, like using a doo-wop song for the score. While exploring corruption in the business world, our scene lacks a larger social commentary. Targeting young adults, we aim to attract a wider audience with psychological thriller elements. Distributed in theaters, we started small and independent before expanding. This project developed our production skills and integrated technology through the use of hardware, software, and online feedback.

Critical Reflection Harrison Paul
Conventions & Social Issues • I think our film follows usual horror movie conventions in some ways and is original in others • Ex: We used a 1960s doo-wop song to score our film which is unique when compared to conventional horror music which is often wordless and more classical • Ex: We followed horror movie conventions when we used dark lighting to build suspense • Social Groups / Issues: I think our film as a whole would explore corruption in the business world, but our scene here doesn’t really have a larger social comment
Audiences / Distribution • Our movie is aimed at the usual horror audience: young adults, but I think we would use aspects of a psychological thriller to attract a wider audience • I think our movie would be distributed in theaters, maybe starting off small and independent before being widely distributed in theaters
Production Skills Development • I definitely am more comfortable behind the camera after this project. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to replicate the visions of scenes in my head with my minimal experience with cameras, but I’m very happy with our results on screen • I’m also more familiar with the editing software my partner Jorge used (Vegas) after collaborating with him through the editing stage
Integrating Technology • By using hardware (video camera) to acquire our footage, then editing our footage (using Vegas software) into a minute-long scene, and finally using the Internet to acquire music and share our video with our classmates for feedback, we integrated technology with this project
