Ordering SNM940 Hardware • Login to Trimble SITECH Software Solutions Store • Select SNM940 Tab • Select SNM940 HW • (Part # 80632-30-HH) DCM300G/ SNM940, Connected Site Gateway, GSM • (Part # 80632-10-HH) SNM940, Connected Site Gateway, Verizon GSM = Worldwide support (where certified). Customer supplies SIM card & data plan Verizon = US only. Trimble supplies data plan as part of subscription
Hardware Options • In addition to the SNM940 – also need to order • Wiring Harness – Basic • GPS/Cellular Combination Antenna • WLAN Antenna for WiFi • Press “Add to Cart” Antenna options
Placing order • In “Your Shopping Cart”: Confirm Order • Press “Checkout” • Confirm Shipping Method & Address • Press “Continue Checkout” • Enter PO # • Press “Continue Checkout” • Accept Terms ofSale • Review Order • Press “Place Order” • Confirmation will appear • Print for your records
Order Fulfillment • Once the Hardware order has been placed, it takes up to 48 hours for the HW to appear in the “Initiate Services” tab • Manual Order Processing at Trimble • Credit Check • Order Fulfillment & Shipping • Once the order is shipped, then the S/N of the device is known, which is needed to Add Services • If the Hardware doesn’t appear in 48 hours, send email to TCM_support@trimble.com with order number

Option Passcodes • You will need to retrieve and upload a Passcode for your SNM940 device to work properly for 3D Project Monitoring • Select the Option Passcodes tab
Option Passcodes • From the Option Passcodes tab: • Filter screen by order number (if needed) • Click “Enter Value” in the Serial # column • Enter Device Serial Number • Click “Apply” or “Apply & Email” to generate passcode • 555656-TRG41-00000-DD7F5508

Cell Connectivity • Cell Connectivity does not enable immediately upon ordering services: • CDMA devices take up to two hours to establish cell connectivity • GSM devices have the SIM card disabled for 3D Project Monitoring due to the high data transfer requirements • It is the customer or dealer’s responsibility to get a SIM card from their local wireless provider • SIM card should support monthly data rates of a minimum of 1 GB – 2 GB recommended
Replace SIM Card for GSM Devices • Open back of SNM940 • Pull out SIM tray • Remove SIM and place new SIM in tray • Replace Tray • Replace the back of SNM940 See SNM940 Install Guide for more details On replacing the SIM

Configure the SNM940 Device • IMPORTANT: before installing the SNM940 device or taking it to the field, the device must be configured and tested in the office • Use the Trimble Web Interface Utility to configure the SNM940 device • Connect the Web Interface Utility to the SNM940 via the WiFi • The SNM940 must have the following connected • Power + • Power – • Keyswitch • WiFi Antenna • GPS/Cellular Antenna
Configure the SNM940 Device • Ensure SNM940 is on and fully powered up • Allow approximately 3 minutes for this to happen • From your computer’s Wireless Center, connect to the SNM940 device • Trimble Service (##########) • # = Serial Number of Device • A pop-up window will appear,requesting a password • abcdeabcde Allow approximately 3 minutes to connectto the SNM940 WiFi
Configure the SNM940 Device • Open Web Browser & Enter IP address of Trimble Web Interface Utility • 192.168.33.1 Trimble Web Interface Utility Home Page
Configure SNM940 Device • Enable Lock Code • Go to the “Option Enabled” tab • Only WiFi will say Enabled • All others will say Not Enabled • Enter the Passcode received from the iStore into the “Enter Lock Code” field and press “Submit” “Cellular Parameter Modification” does not pertain to CDMA GSM: Top 4 enabled CDMA: Items 2, 3 & 4 enabled
Configure the Serial Port • To enable the Serial Port to work with CB430, CB450 & CB460 • Click the “Home” tab • Select “Serial Port” • Select the “PPP Connection” radio button • Set the Baud Rate to • 57600 & press “Submit”
Configure New SIM for GSM • Click “Cell” Tab • Click on APN – it will ask for a password • adminPassword adminPassword
Configure New SIM for GSM • Select your provider from the “New APN” drop down • If your provider is not on the list, enter the following info provided by your mobile provider & click “Submit” Pin (4 digits) APN Username Password
Configure New SIM for GSM • Click “Cell” and confirm SIM is enabled • Wait approximately 2 minutes to for this to appear • Cell RSSI should be between • -50 to -100 for good cell coverage
Reboot SNM940 • Go to Home screen • Select “Reboot” • Press the “Reboot” button • - Wait 5 minutes for the SNM940 to Reboot • - Wait an additional 3 minutes for your • computer to reconnect to the SNM940
Confirm Changes • Log back into the Web Interface Utility • Confirm that your computer is connected to the SNM940 • In your web-browser, re-enter the IP address In the Cell tab, confirm your APN is selected In the Option Enabled tab, confirm the correct items are enabled

Configuring TCC • A TCC account will automatically be created if the customer does not have TCC and this is their first TCC Device License • The Dealer and Customer will receive an email Linda Chase, TCC Product Manager • Contains url, username/password & training instructions
Log In To TCC • www.myconnectedsite.com/hce • Enter Username, Organization & Password from email • From the TCC Home screen, select: Administration Manage Devices
Connect the Device to TCC • In “Manage Devices”, click “Add Device” button • In “Add Device”, click “Type:” down arrow • In “Select Device Types” dialog • Click: Trimble Heavy Civil Construction Device Type Device Type: - CB430 - CB450 - CB460 Click Save
Connect the Device to TCC • In Add Device dialog, “Type:” is now filled in • Enter Device (CB430, CB450, CB460) Serial Number • Enter & Confirm Password (user generated) • Click “Save” button • Device is added to “Manage Devices” dialog All other fields are optional Click “Close” and Log Out of TCC

Machine Control Display • The CB430, CB450, CB460 Display needs to be configured to communicate with TCC • Enable WiFi/Cell Communications with SNM940 • In Config Machine Settings Wireless Communications: set to Wi-Fi/Cell (SNM940) Click: “Edit Machine” Click: Menu Button Select: “Machine Settings” and “OK” Click: Installation Button Arrow Down to: “WiFi/Cell (SNM940)” Click: “Finish” Once the display Returns to the “Machine Settings” page, click “Esc” Arrow to the: “Wireless Communications” page Continue to Arrow to the “Finished” screen
Machine Control Display • The CB430, CB450, CB460 Display needs to be configured to communicate with TCC • In Installation Connected Community Settings set: Organization TCC Password Enable Auto Sync Click: Auto Sync Disable

Create Project in Business Center • Create New Project in Business Center • Select Template • Drag Data to Project • Add TCC Location • External Services Enter TCC Info: - User Name - Organization - Password Click OK
Create Project in Business Center • Field Data Create Job Site Design • Save Project Enter Design Name: Click “Close” Tick “Synchronize” Box Click “OK”
Create Project in Business Center Select TCC Filespace • Publish Project TCC Tick: - Publish project file - Publish layers Create or Browse TCC Folder Click “OK”

Create Project in VisionLink • Manage Projects: select New Project • Enter New Project Details • Create Connection to TCC Business Data Center • Select Jobsitecreated in BC Title Project Start Date Project End Date Project Time Zone Enter TCC Info: - User Name - Organization - Password Click “Next – Boundary” Click “Save” This is the Project created in BC
Create Project in VisionLink • Draw boundary around entire Project Area • Select the Coordinate System for the Project • Use the Drop-Down list to select the coordinate system related to your Project • Or browse yourcomputer Boundary is used to identify the Project that Tag files belong to, so it should be slightly larger than the actual project Click “Next – Coord System” Click “Done – Save and Close” If you set up a project in BC, there should be a Coord System file (.dc or .cal) inthe Business Data Center
