  13. Available Product Rebates • Rebates are generally directed at the end-user (kitchen operator) after installation. • Many utilities offer rebates on ENERGY STAR qualified CFS equipment. ENERGY STAR Support for CFS ENERGY STAR is: • Developing on-line tools to increase awareness of and access to existing utility rebates. • Fostering greater cooperation and coordination between utilities and manufacturers. • Developing specifications for new CFS equipment types. • Working with manufacturers to add new models to existing qualified products lists. 14

Look for the ENERGY STAR on qualified ceiling fans. Saving energy reduces the burning of fossil fuels, which leads to less air pollution. This ultimately reduces greenhouse gas emissions that cause global climate change. ENERGY STAR qualified commercial food service equipment: • Shorter cook times • Higher production rates • Improved insulation • High-efficiency compressors • Annual savings range from $60 - $1,000 (depending on the type of food equipment) • Has lifecycle savings greater than 50%
