Complete Labor Distribution Where applicable, personal information has been removed from these report examples. This information will appear in the actual reports, provided you have the proper security authorization.
Complete Labor Distribution • A Business Warehouse Report that meets reporting needs previously not met by providing 100% of an individual’s labor costing. • Currently located in the JH Report Library in the Human Resource folder and Payroll Admin subfolder.
Accessing the Report • Over 1,500 users currently have access to the report. • Accessed via the BW-HR Payroll Admin View Reports role (ZBHR_PA_R_PAV_*). • The asterisk represents the structural security object. For this report, it is either secured by Personnel Area (ex. HS01, UN02) or Organizational Unit (org). • By default users will have access to their Org Unit and subordinates if secured by the Org Unit. • Additional Org Units are requested via the ISR • If access is secured by Org Unit then the personnel area will be ALL. • Users cannot have access by both Personnel Area and Org Unit.
The Report Data • The information provided in the report is based upon PAYROLL POSTINGS. • PAYROLL POSTING are loaded on an Ad Hoc Basis. The current schedule attempts a weekly load on Sunday mornings. • Most recent example of BW Message when payroll loads have completed: 11/06/2007 - Payroll finance postings are current through 11/05/07. • Report does not provide Fringe or Commitment postings.
The Variable Screen • Asterisk can be used for Personnel Area if querying by Org Unit or Personnel Number. • If querying by Personnel Number then >= and # can be used for the Org Unit. • Multiple periods can be selected by using a range. Please note this is the period in which the posting occurs, not the pay period.
The Navigation Block • Identifiers: Person; Employee; Home Cost Center; Employee Group and Subgroup; Personnel Area and Subarea; Job; Region; Organization Unit; Payroll Area • Date Parameters: Period End; Payment Date; Posting Date; Fiscal Year/Period (The posting date will determine the FY/P) • Cost Information: Cost Center; Internal Order; WBS Element; Business Area • Cost Classification: G/L Account; Wage Type
The Report:Default View • Alphabetical by Employee Name • Period End represents the end of the pay period (Example shows S1 payroll area - JH Semi Monthly) • Includes Cost Center and Internal Order
Report Formatting • Below is an example of the report with all characteristics removed from the rows. This is a starting point for creating the report format to meets your needs.
Concurrent Employment • Report by Person then Employee • Includes Wage Types to illustrate salary and fellowship
Wage Type • All Wage Types • Includes Vacation Credits, Supplements, Other
Results by Business Area • Business Area: Will provide support from other business areas (or the user’s BA) that apply to individuals in their Personnel Area or Org Unit.
