  2. Opening Ceremonies • President – “ Thank you. FFA Members, why are we here?” 3 GAVEL TAPS, RISE ON THE THIRD • All Members in Unison – “ To practice brotherhood, honor agricultural opportunities and responsibilities, and develop those qualities of leadership which an FFA member should possess.”

  3. Participated in Gateway District Land Evaluation Won 3rd in District Advancing to Area Utah Cox Payne Whatley John Pesek Codi Cass Sean Harlan Sean Virgin Georgia Olvera

  4. Greenhand Land Evaluation Won 2nd in District and Advancing to Area Katie Pesek Caroline Moore John Redgate Justin Ortiz Katie Pesek won District High Point Greenhand

  5. AREA Landjudging Chapter Team • Won 7th Place • Only 33 pts out of Qualifying for State • Codi Cass was 6th High Point in the Contest Greenhand Team • Won 7th Place • Katie Pesek was 8th High Point in the Contest

  6. Odem A&H Booster Club • The Booster Club add money on to your show projects. • You must be a member and in good standing with the club. • Dues are $25 for the first kid and $10 for each other child. • Must Participate in all booster club events. • If interested please see Mr. Mac, Jon Whatley or Kim Fleck

  7. FFA Dues -- $20 • FFA Dues need to be paid by Oct 19th. • These must be paid if you are going to show or want to participate in any FFA Activities. • If you sold 10 items in the Fundraiser your dues are paid for.

  8. FFA COOKIE DOUGH • Delivery date is sometime during next week. • Oct. 15 – Oct. 19 • Will send out a message when I get a confirmation. • TOP SELLERS: 1st Caroline Moore 2nd Aaron Naranjo 3rd Georgia Olvera

  9. Rabbit Orders • If you want to show rabbits this year please talk to Mr. Mac. • Deadline to order rabbits is Fri., Oct 12th.

  10. Validation Dates • Heifer Validation – Oct. 20th from 8-12 • Goat Validation – Oct 20th from 8-10 • Lamb Validation – Oct 20th from 10-12

  11. Hog Validation • Will be a little different than last year. • Nov. 19th in Taft, Midway Gin starting @ 4pm • Nov. 20th in Odem, At the High School @ 4pm Those in the Ag Farm we will do there. • Nov. 20th in Mathis, At the Ag Farm @ 6:30 • Nov. 21st Sinton, Ag Farm @ 12-6pm • Nov 26th Sinton, Ag Farm @ 4-8pm

  12. Barn News • Scales will be out every Monday. Make sure you write your weight on the board each week. • WE HAVE SAND!!! Clean out shavings and replace with sand. • Volunteer Forms: Every Adult that comes out to the barn needs to fill out one of these forms. Turn it into the school office with a copy of their license to the office.

  13. Barn News • Clean-up Calendar – Is out with names for who is responsible for the barn that week. • Straighten the tools. • Empty all trash cans. • Sweep the front Entry. • Check the Bathrooms. Swept out and Trash dumped.

  14. LDE – Leadership Development Events We are starting to work on LDE. If interested please see Mr. Mac Agricultural Advocacy – NEW CONTEST Agricultural Issues Forum Chapter Conducting Creed Speaking FFA Quiz FFA Radio Job Interview Public Relations Skills Demonstration

  15. FFA Jackets • If you want an FFA Jacket we need to order these ASAP to have them here for Contest. • Cost is $60.

  16. T-Shirt Design • If you have a T-shirt design that you would like to have be considered for the FFA shirt please turn it in to Mr. Mac • Deadline – Oct. 15th

  17. FFA HATS • On Sale NOW. • Cost $15.00

  18. Odem Fall Festival • On Oct. 20th • 5:30-7:30pm • We will be selling Sausage Wraps. • Giving Hay Rides. • Please Come and Help. Need Cooks and Sellers. • We are also in need of Tortillas, Hay, Tractor and Trailer.

  19. DUM-DUM GAME • HOW many Dum-Dums can you fit in your mouth? • Stick around and find out after the mtg. • The Winner gets bragging rights. • Fluffy Bunny winner at the last meeting was Katie Pesek.
