Minimal Requirements • Identify equipment. • Notify all affected employees. • Firefighter should refer to companies procedure. • If machine is operating, it should be shut down. • Deactivate energy isolating device. Lock out/Tag out
Minimal Requirements (cont.) • Lock out device. • Check for stored energy. • To verify disconnection • operate machinery, making sure it does not operate. • Equipment is now locked out. Lock out/Tag out
