  1. Alexander By samraphael

  2. What is Alexander about? • The life story of alexander the great • The reflection of alexander the great on his job as a ruler

  3. Plot • Alexander the great starts off on his deathbed in babylon • He tells someone his life story • We include flashbacks in with the story, making up most of the movie • This allows for lots of wiggle room with what we include, exclude, and tweak

  4. Aspects of His Life to focus on • Battle/conquers • That’s what people wan’t to see

  5. Context • His parents • His birth • His death • Accomplishments • Seige of tyre

  6. Birth • Alexander the great • Born in 356 • Father • Phillip II • Mother • Olympias • Alexander III • Born in Macedonia

  7. Death • Died at 33 • In Nebuchadnezzar's II palace in Babylon • Theories about death • Malaria • Poisoned at banquet • Saw his soldiers the day before he died

  8. Accomplishments • Conquered many places • In the Bible • Conquered MOST of the world known by the greeks • alexandria

  9. Tyre • Siege • Towers • The building of islands • 7 months • Didn’t want to attack by sea • People of Tyre sold as slaves

  10. Tyre • Tyre will be the main focus • There will be the entire siege, as told by “Alexander the Great” • There could be a few scenes trying to put a spin on the mystery of his death/poisoning

  11. How do we go about making a successful movie? • Coordinate scenes and ideas with pop culture • Modernize the story • More people will watch a fresh and exciting film over a documentary! • Add scenes based on the audience • Age • Gender • Interest

  12. Who is the target • The target age is 14-28 • These are the people who are either just becoming allowed to go to the movies by themselves, or are frequent moviegoers • This is the age that pop culture is based around

  13. The R Rated movie • Realistically, people ages 14+ see rated R movies (some even younger) • As much as people try to uphold the rules, very few movie theaters won’t stop an underage person from buying a ticket • These kids want to see an R rated movie • If we make it, they will see it

  14. The Battle scenes • Alexander the great conquered so much • The more he conquered, the more battles we can show in the movie • Movies like 300, and lord of the rings are famous because of their epic battle scenes • Simply, the more fighting, the more people will want to watch.

  15. Pop Culture • Hire popular, attractive actors • People will see a movie just because an actor is in it • Put popular songs in the soundtrack • People will buy the soundtrack • People will hear that that song on the radio is in the movie, and come watch it to see the video that goes with the song

  16. Ads • Many people see a movie just to see a movie, so it’s all about showing them that ours is the best choice • An epic, exciting ad, even if the movie is bad, will make people come • You can show every good part of the movie within all the ads, and people will still think there is more (until we have their ticket money)
