Lewes Castle & Barbican House
Education & Learning • In 2016 we’ll be working with… • South Downs National Park to promote Prehistory workshops & archaeology. • Sussex Community Rail Partnership and Southern Rail to encourage young people to use public transport. They are using Lewes Castle for case studies, promoting us and supporting school visits. • Southern Rail access officerto help to direct people to our sites from the train station. • RNIB and HLF to improve access to our Lewes properties and collections for blind and partially sighted people. • Chichester Cultural Learning Partnership to deliver an Arts Council funded project for schools in the Bognor and Selsey area. • Mary Rose and the Noviummuseum to deliver some new events at Fishbourne Roman Palace.
Marketing • E-Newsletter – a sign-up form will be available on www.sussexpast.co.uk from 1st February. Visitors to the website can register for monthly SAS newsletter published from March 2016. • Facebook & Twitter – increased focus on the use of the current social media sites for all properties with the objective to increase followers. This will include a number of Facebook advertisements. • Hoteliers Events – following the success of the MP hoteliers event in October, both Lewes and Fishbourne will be holding similar events in April. • Property Pass – a new pass is due to be launched in the spring which will allow unlimited access to all our sites over a two week period.
