The StJ Grant supports creative ideas and educational programs proposed by members wtih funds of up to $500 USD per project. The program encourages links between the FPA and projects/events within local communities, helps to serve members’ needs, and creates documentation that will inspire others. Past recipients include: FPA Jam Camp in Los Angeles, a grade school program in Italy, a documentary film "The Invisible String", an educational project in Colombia, and a course for school teachers teaching freestyle disc (which includes a manual of technical, intellectual, physical and communication skills).
FPA | Last big projects • JudgingCommittee • FPA Board appoints an international Judging Committee to revise and update the Judging System to: • Respond to the sport evolution • Clarify and simplify the judging system itself • Provide better tools for judging during competitive events. The Judging Committee implements tools to test new ideas and meets every month, discussing proposals, changes, tools and tests. In recent years, the FPA introduced the concept of a well-defined, International Committee and Category Directors for major freestyle disc and overall events, such as FPA Worlds, EFC, and Paganello. This system has enabled a cohesive international strategy to address issues and ensure fairness at freestyle disc competitions, from primary seeding to judging the finals and analyzing results.
