River flood levels and extents are able to be predicted in advance by the Environment Agency, allowing local flood defences to be installed. However the same cannot be said of urban flooding and in particular flooding from overloaded sewerage and surface water systems. Mouchel have developed a process that will enable the prediction of sewerage and surface water flooding in advance, allowing the pro-active management of flood waters and minimising customer impact. About the presenter James Hale is Mouchel’s Technical Delivery Manager for Wastewater within the Asset Management Central Division. His role includes wastewater modelling, assessment of urban flooding and innovation.
