  2. LVYCC had a Great turnout in Assen 2013….

  3. What is Assen???? Assen youth tour is a 6 day stage race held in the Netherlands. Riders come from all over Europe to compete. This year LVYCC had riders aged from 8-16 years racing, Families come too!

  4. The races… Races vary each day from the prologue, time trials, criteriums to classic road races, one stage even has cobbles, just like all the best classics….

  5. Before every Stage each rider has to sign on, The Tour starts with a Prologue….

  6. Riding down the ramp for the first time is a bit scary…….But fab once you’ve done it!!!

  7. Weather… Sun... Weather doesn't just change day to day it changes hour to hour going from heat wave to monsoon and everything in between, so go prepared (Golfing brolly = ESSENTIAL) Rain...

  8. FUN… Between races there is loads of fun to have, swimming pool, flumes, go-karting, bike rides and much more, And some training of course!!

  9. There’s loads of time to chill, chat, laugh & joke before and after races….

  10. Making friends… Assen is a place to make life long friends…

  11. You can stay on the Camp site, or in a Holiday Park near by, the chalets are fab, most days you have to get up really early for the racing, the races are easy to get to, Just ride! Hire bikes are available too……
