Conversation Practice: Let’s Go Swimming • A: I got a flier saying that a swimming pool provides discount, and I am planning to go with Tom. Would you want to come down with us? • B: I don't think so. I hate swimming • A: Come on, it‘ll be fun. No one hates swimming. • B: I do. • A: Why? • B: I got plummy, my skin got tanned, and I have to take the risk of being drowned. • A: You don't know how to swim? • B: I can do a little breaststroke. • A: That would be enough, you don't really have to swim. You can just relax in the water, and ... • B: Prepare to drown. • A: Look the bright side, there’s always a lifeguard by a swimming pool. • B: Yeh and everyone would stare at me when the lifeguard yells "hang in there, I am coming"?
