GESSCANT: ACTIVITIES • C) PILOT SCHEMES: • “Studies – Diagnosis of needs and weaknesses of Cantabrian companies in the metallurgical and automotive sectors” • OBJECTIVE:Detection of needs and weaknesses of Cantabrian companies in order to mantain competitiveness, to open up other markets or to attract companies into our territory in the future. Proposal of new schemes to the Goverment of Cantabria in order to encourage these changes. • PRODUCTS: • Sectorial Analysis • Catalogue with the main Cantabrian companies of the metal and automotive sectors • 20 Diagnoses – Pilot Schemes of Strategic Change and Competitive Development in Cantabrian companies Plenary Session - Equal Transnational Network ADAPTABILITY*4

D) GESSCANT ACTION: • Documentaryon the restructuring process in DELPHI, Cadiz: • Objective:Toshow the lessons learned in Cantabria through the real experience of Cadiz • Content:Methodology to anticipate corporate restructuring processes, to understand crisis management and to reduce the social and gender impact • Cycle of Work and Cinema in Santander, focused on the world of work, in restructuring processes, in the closure of businesses and in their social and territorial impact: • Objective: To gain an understanding of and to reflect on the transcendence of restructuring processes in each environment and the possibilities of new alternatives to minimize their consequences Plenary Session - Equal Transnational Network ADAPTABILITY*4

GESSCANT: RESULTS • STRENGTHENING of the social organizations of Cantabria in the anticipative treatment of restructuring processes • Definition of BUSINESS PILOT PROJECTS of strategic and structural change • TRANSFERABILITY of the studies and sectorial and gender diagnoses to the social and political representatives to complement the employment policies implemented in Cantabria Plenary Session - Equal Transnational Network ADAPTABILITY*4
