6. 2009 plan – what will the WHM project do? Upgrade Safety training at all levels
3 levels of mandatory training:
Safety for Senior Executives, (Target: Senior Management & Executives)
Safety for Managers, (Target: Senior Engineers, Rig and Site Managers, CHs,)
Supervising Safety, (Target: First line Supervisors, Senior Technicians, CSRs)
Improved Hazard awareness
Develop, pilot and hold on-site Workshops per site to create hazard inventories
Train line (and eventually contractor) HSE A’s to take ownership of workshops
Design and run motivational programs to drive and reinforce
Back to Basics focus on JSA/TBT (Penetration & Quality)
Create JSA/TBT toolkit (Standardised TRIC, Film, Coaching)
Design and run motivational programs to drive and reinforce
Structured coaching and follow-up process to embed the change
Communications program structured to reinforce the change
Contractual changes to drive compliance and renewed CEO commitment

8. Expectations from contractor partners Make sure everything is in place for sustainable, meaningful change in Worksite Hazard Management performance. Specifically;
Introduce or maintain motivational programmes to reward safe behaviours and implement consequences for unsafe behaviour.
Release staff, (particularly first line supervision and HSE Advisors) to participate in and assist with workshops.
To eventually own the Hazard Awareness Workshops as a refresher tool for Supervisor training.
Select staff to attend initial training courses and act as in-field coaches.
Implement and embed tools, (if not already in place), such as TRIC, JSA, HazID, as they are rolled out.
Participate in Field Verification Visits.
Support PDO’s communication efforts.
Assist in establishing new training modules
