Publications • Retail Market Information Report • Report for 2008 was published last month – contains statistics on overall customer nos, consumption, load profiles, market shares, prices and churn rates. • Report contained Q1 2009 update – QR updates to be published in future • WPDRS • Publishing decision paper on changes to Rules and Rates of WPDRS and Powersave schemes next week
Smart Metering (Electricity) • Electricity – Residential Customer Behaviour Trial (CBT) • Benchmarking period commenced • ToU tariff structure & prices to be finalised by end-Sept. – to be reviewed for final approval by SG & the Commission. • Electricity – SME Customer Behaviour Trial (CBT): • Benchmarking period commenced
Smart Metering (Gas) • Residential & SME Customer Behaviour Trial (CBT) • Recruitment targets achieved – c.3,000 acceptances (25% response rate). 750 acknowledgement letters issued. • BGN indicate installation of meters will begin w/e 26 Sept - 1mth procurement delay incurred results in risk to completion of 1,925 meter installation by end-Nov.
DSFA Electricity Allowance • Received two proposals for industry solutions • CER will host meeting to discuss – 16th Oct 10-12
Harmonisation RAs have agreed programme of retail harmonisation for electricity markets in NI and ROI (i) Market Messaging & Processes • Project will review the market messaging and underlying processes with a view to harmonise where practicable. • Agree common governance and change control processes to ensure systems stay in synch. • This will run in parallel with the NI Enduring Solution project • Steering Group and Working groups to be established. (ii) Global Aggregation • RAs have agreed to progress GA - A mod has been raised to the T&SC • A working group will be established to progress this modification proposal • relevant stakeholders should attend the working group
