INSTRUCTIONAL METHOD • Adopts a blended- learning environment where the student is the center of learning activities
PRACTICAL NURSING • Requires 300 Hours of Prerequisite Courses • Anatomy and Physiology (completed within the past 5 years) • Introduction to Psychology • Interpersonal Communication • English Composition • Basic Algebra • Requires current certification as a Nursing Assistant
PRACTICAL NURSING • Includes 950 Contact Hours (5 quarter terms) of lecture, nursing lab skills demonstrations, clinical skills rotations in long-term care facilities
PRACTICAL NURSING • Facilitates lessons through web-assisted course management system - SCHOOLOGY
PRACTICAL NURSING • Integrates ATI Assessment Review Modules within individual nursing courses • Prepares graduate for licensure with ATI NCLEX-PN predictor exams
PRACTICAL NURSING • Provides students with nursing kits to enable actual laboratory exercises • Adheres to continuous practice until full competency
PRACTICAL NURSING • Provides access to current simulation models and equipment to make learning realistic and challenging
PRACTICAL NURSING • Awards Diploma for • Practical Nursing • Awards Certificates of Completion for • IV Therapy • Pharmacology
BASIC NURSING ASSISTANT • Includes 136 hours of combined lecture, laboratory and clinical sessions and • Follows the minimum 40 hours of clinical experience in a long-term care facility.
BASIC NURSING ASSISTANT • Facilitates instructor and student skill demonstrations prior to clinical rotations
BASIC NURSING ASSISTANT • Enables the graduate to challenge the state certification and become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
MEDICAL ASSISTANT • Consists of 800 hours (4 quarter terms) of instruction divided into teaching both the administrative and clinical aspects of assisting in physician clinics, urgent care clinics and hospitals
MEDICAL ASSISTANT • Facilitates lessons through web-assisted course management system - SCHOOLOGY
MEDICAL ASSISTANT • Enables graduates to be eligible for the following NHA certifications • Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA) • Medical Administrative Assistant Certification (CMAA)
PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN • Includes 50 contact hours of theory and laboratory sessions
PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN • Actual specimen collections are facilitated through partnership with one of the leading clinical laboratories in Chicago - STARLAB Corporation.
PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN • Facilitates certification after graduation through NHA • Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT)
EKG TECHNICIAN • Includes 50 contact hours of theory and laboratory sessions
EKG TECHNICIAN • Actual EKG preparation and testing of patient will be performed in NLC laboratory setting
EKG TECHNICIAN • Facilitates certification after graduation through NHA • EKG Technician Certification (CET)
