In what year was McDonalds established McDonald's Corporation is the worlds largest chain of hamburger fast food restaurants, serving around 64 million customer daily. Headquartered in the United States, the corporation was founded by businessman Ray Kroc in 1955 after purchased the rights to a small hamburger chain operated by the eponymous Richard and Maurice McDonald.
McDonald’s original restaurant in San Bernardino, California served only hamburgers, milkshakes, and french fries. While still based on hamburgers, today’s menu includes numerous other items that has been added. Below are listed the basic items sold by the company.

Historical Development First Production Site • In 1937, Patrick McDonald opened "The Airdrome" restaurant on Huntington Drivenear the Monrovia Airport California. Hamburgers were 10 cents & drink orange juice for 5 cents. In 1940, his two sons, Maurice and Richard ‘Mac’ and ‘Dick’, have moved the building to San Bernardo, California. The restaurant was renamed “McDonalds”.
In 1967 the first McDonald's restaurant outside of the United States opened in Richmond, British Columbia. Every day since then, McDonald's Canada has been proud to provide our customers the same great taste, outstanding value, quality and superior service that the Golden Arches is known for worldwide.
Today there are more than 1,400 McDonald's restaurants in Canada, serving approximately three million Canadians every day and employing about 77,000 Canadians from coast to coast.
Expansion Process • Technology plays a huge role in Mc Donald’s global expansion process. • Mc Donald’s always maintains an extensive advertising campaign. • Television has always played a central role in the company's advertising strategy.
In addition to the usual media (television, radio, and newspaper), the company makes use of billboards and signage, sponsors sporting events ranging from Little League to the Olympic Games, and makes coolers of orange drink with their logo available for local events of all kinds.
