  1. Mexican Border Issues Presented by: Darryl Lewin (El Magnifico) Jesus Parra (Esqueleto)

  2. Problem • Some Mexicans are so desperate to cross the border that they would risk there own lives • Many People do make it to the United States but these Illegal Aliens are sometimes harmful to the general American society

  3. Solutions • Peaceful Border Patrols (who provides medical attention to those who try to cross the border and become seriously ill, and also send them back to Mexico safely) • Keep the same restrictions that are in place so that less immigrants are less eager to come to the United States

  4. Solutions Cont… • Build up the borders and have more agents who will do stricter searches • Create more jobs in Mexico • Talk to the Government to make more relief plans for the poor Mexican citizens • Create a Work visa for Mexicans to be able to come and live in the US as long as they maintain a job

  5. Solutions Cont… • Make it easier for the Mexican immigrants to come over to the United States legally • Make penalties harsher for illegal immigrants to cross the border • Fine companies that hire illegal Immigrants • Enforce Immigration laws that are in use already

  6. Our Solution • We would like to take the Solutions 1 and 3 because once the border has a higher security level immigrants who are once found in a search can receive medical attention and be safely sent back to Mexico at a certain station • Protecting the needy immigrants is of great importance because ultimately they want to have a better life

  7. Summary • To protect these immigrants and the US citizens, the US has created immigration laws, which immigrants have to abide by to come to America • We believe that increasing the amount of agents and searches at the border will make immigrants less likely to cross the border and we will make sure less immigrants suffer in the dessert

Opinion • How do my perceptions about the issue change after revising the literature? • My perceptions about immigrants did not change, however it did give me additional view points on the issue • My opinion in general about the this issue? • In general everyone is eager to get some help in times of need, especially in an issue such as the problems with the Mexico Border

  9. Opinion Cont… • The Mexican Government is not being too supportive to their citizens and they need more jobs to support their families, which does result in more people wanting to cross the border to the US • America has many opportunities to offer anyone that comes to it
