Reasons for massive immigration • An average hourly wage in Mexico is $4.15 less than minimum wage in the U.S.A. and 40% are below the poverty line in Mexico. • Surplus population is also a rising factor with close to a third of the population living in Mexico city. • Pollution is a major problem also. With no wind to blow smog out of the city and extreme water shortages breathing the air is close to smoking two packs a day.
What are the stats? • There are 11.4 million Mexican immigrants in U.S.A. • If illegal immigrants are caught no fines are issued but they're sent back to Mexico and usually succeed the next time. • Over 95% of illegal immigrants that fail their first time succeed eventually.
Coyotes • Coyotes is the term given to human smuggler. • Use cleverly disguised compartments in dashboard, trunk, under the car and just about anywhere you can fit a body.
Mexico's current problems • Mexico is being struck hard by a few things starting with the gulf oil spill a year ago. • The second was the swine flu. • The third is gang wars and drug issues.
Economic distribution. • Mexico's wealth is very unevenly distributed ten percent of the population contains over a third of the wealth.
