Responsibilities • Instructors need to make reasonable adjustments to the training services that they provide to meet the needs of disabled people. • Training organisations, instructors and schools at which training is delivered need to look at their rules/policies to ensure that they do not indirectly discriminate. • Instructors need to ensure that they do not have preconceived views/assumptions about an individual’s ability to carry out a task and achieve outcomes.

  5. Ratios & National Standards • One-to-one or in a group? • The national standards are for everyone • They are designed to be inclusive not exclusive! • What national standard levels can be achieved? • Level 3?

  6. Equipment, adaptions & visual aids • What type of equipment and bikes can be used? • Can we start with the 2 wheels approach first? • What reasonable adaptions or adjustments can be made? • What teaching materials could be used? • Can images and drawings be effective?
