INTRODUCTION THE REASON FOR CARRYING OUT THESE MEASUREMENTS WERE THE LACK OF DATA ON RESPONSE OF A SMALL SCINTILLATING CELL WITH POLISHED EDGES COMPARE TO THE RESPONSE OF CELL WITH NON-POLISHED OR JUST MACHINING EDGES AND HOW ARE THESE RESPONSES SENSITIVE TO A DIFFERENT KIND OF WRAPPING OR COATING MATERIALS. THE RESULTS OF RESPONSE MEASUREMENTS FOR CELLS WITH DIFFERENT QUALITY OF EDGE SURFACE ARE REPORTED. IN ADDITION RESPONSES OF CELL WRAPPED IN DIFFEREN MATERIALS, INCLUDDING SUPERREFLACTIVE 3M FILM, WILL BE PROVIDED. WE NEED THESE DATA FOR THE DESIGN OF SCINTILLATING DIGITAL HADRONIC CALORIMETER FOR THE SMALL DETECTOR ON THE FUTURE ELECTRON-POSITRON LINEAR COLLIDER. ALEXANDRE DYCHKANT NICADD/NIU

  7. IN CONCLUSION FIRST, WE DO NOT NEED TO SPEND MONEY, TIME, AND MAN POWER FOR POLISHING CELL EDGES BECAUSE FINISHED SURFACE REDUCED A CELL RESPONSE.
