Psychological Science • Your text book definition: • Psychological science is the study of mind, brain, and behaviour. • Mental activity in the mind results from biological processes in the brain. • Psychological Science previously involved only the objective observation of behaviour.
The Themes of Psychological Science • Principles are cumulative. • Focus on what is known and has been well established over years of experimentation. • E.g, The primacy effect • The details are evolving • Many questions in Psychological Science can be answered in infinitely complex ways
