  2. Description • An Orangutans hair looks like reddish brown hair. • It does not have a tail. • Orangutans have long arms.

  3. Habitat • Orangutans live on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra. • They mostly live in trees(they are arboreal.) • They live in a tropical rainforest in parts of Sumatra and Borneo in Asia.

  4. Diet • Orangutans are omnivores they eat animals and plants. • They eat fruit ,leaves, tree bark and plant bulbs. • Also they eat tender plant shoots and flowers

  5. Additional Facts! • Orangutans are shy and solitary animals • Orangutans are very intelligent • They have been known to use objects and tools.

  6. More Additional Facts! • Orangutans can also walk on their legs but they do not like to swim. • Sumatran Orangutans are endangered. • They are the only great ape in southeast Asia.

  7. Natural Enemies • The animal that poses the biggest threat to Orangutans is man. • Man uses their habitat and sells young Orangutans as pets.
