Theater Undersea Warfare Initiative (TUSWI) Non-Gaussian Data Fusion System (NGDFS) Web Service (TNGWS) Higher Mission Success Rate Reduced Manning Daniel H. Wagner Associates, Inc. - www.wagner.com Under an ONR contract (through a subcontract with Lockheed Martin Orincon Defense), Wagner Associates is developing the Theater Undersea Warfare Initiative (TUSWI) Non-Gaussian Data Fusion System (NGDFS) Web Service (TNGWS) for CTF-12. TNGWS uses detailed non-homogeneous environmental data generated by the Scalable Tactical Acoustic Propagation Loss Engine (STAPLE), non-Gaussian tracking algorithms, and non-Gaussian resource optimization algorithms to predict the future location of high-interest targets and to optimize search against these targets. TNGWS uses Wagner’s Agent Based Services (ABS) architecture. • Highly automated operation • Easily interpreted outputs • Better utilization of scarce resources (platforms, sensors) • Bring less experienced operators up to automated level and assists experienced operators • Reduce operator workload • More accurate Situation Assessment, resulting in more timely and effective decisions • Allows quantitative evaluation of tactical options • Generates recommended plans that are easily implemented TNGWS Dedicated Node The dedicated node handles the external Web Service communications, allocates each request to the appropriate processing node (which could be on the same processor as the dedicated node), and also obtains any required environmental data. The dedicated node receives most of its inputs and provides most of its outputs to the TUSWI CKMT Operator System Interface. TNGWS Processing Node TNGWS development is supported by the Office of Naval Research (ONR). Distribution A: Approved for Public Release; Distribution is unlimited.
