The WHAO • The WHAO currently has offices in 39 countries around the world. For more details please visit the WHAO website: www.worldhomeopathy.org/contact.html • WHAO is working to have offices in every country around the world. • The headquarters are determined by where the Chair of the organization resides. • The Board Of Directors (BOD) meet on a regular basis via teleconference. • The WHAO consists of representatives of homeopathic organizations from around the world.
WHAO Contd. The WHAO is committed • to promote homeopathic awareness world-wide. • to bring together representatives from each country to work together to organize a World Homeopathic Awareness Week (WHAW) • to share ideas and resources in order to educate the world about the wonders of homeopathy. • The WHAO is a Non – Government non-profit, all volunteer, grass roots organization. • All committee members and organizers contribute their time on a volunteer basis. • The WHAO is not affiliated to any particular corporate company or educational institution and is motivated by the love of homeopathy and wanting to share this gift with the world.
Objectives and Missionof WHAO • The WHAO is dedicated to creating global awareness about Homeopathy. • To plan and co-ordinate an annual World Homeopathy Awareness Week • WHAO’s mission is to educate the public, dissipate misconceptions and reach out to the community, sharing this invaluable science.
Main Purposes of WHAO • To create public awareness, through education and exposure • To collect reliable research to back up our science • To make homeopathy known and accessible • To support homeopathic organizations around the world • To gain acceptance of homeopathy in the health care system
World Homeopathy Awareness Week (WHAW) 2008 • In Memory of the 253rd Anniversary of the Birth of Dr. Samuel HahnemannHomeopaths and homeopathy supporters from around the globe will join forces in April during World Homeopathy Awareness Week (WHAW). • This celebration will inform the public & share with the world, the wonderful science of Homeopathy. • The theme for 2007 was Homeopathy for Women. The theme for 2008 is Homeopathy in Sports.
Homeopathy - for optimum health in sport • Homeopathy supports optimum health in sport, which in turn helps the athlete to achieve equilibrium of body and mind. • Homeopathic remedies can be of use at the moment of injury as First Aid and also for long- term injuries that cause complications such as stiffening of joints and enduring pain. • A single remedy, which is selected after a personal interview with the individual concerned, can often enable athletes to perform with equilibrium and harmony preventing every kind of injury.
