  2. A partnership with area employers and community leaders to get individuals into the local job market. Services include employment assistance to military spouses and veteran’s who were separated from employment due to a lay off or relocation to Ft. Hood. What is TALENT?

  4. What Services Are Provided? • Interactive Workshops • Setting Goals and Planning for Success • Refining Your Job Searching • Improving and Targeting Your Resume • Preparing for an Interview • Improving Communication Skills • Building and Maintaining Self-Confidence During Job Search

  5. What Services Are Provided? • Training Assistance • Information on Local Colleges • Individual Assessment • Vocational training • Short-term technical training

  6. What Services Are Provided? • Support Services – assistance provided during job search, training, and employment. Includes: • Childcare • Transportation • Work Related Expenses including testing and certification fees

  7. Additional Resources • Computer Labs • Create and Review Resumes and Cover Letters • View Online Job Postings • Research Companies • Staff Available for One-on-One Consultation

Eligibility • 18 years of age or older and • Military Spouse Who Left Employment to Move to Fort Hood or • A Dislocated Worker including a non-retiring veteran who is anything but dishonorably discharged. (A dislocated worker is one who was separated from employment due to a lay off or business closure)

  9. Military Spouses Copy of Military Dependent Identification Card Copy of Military Sponsor’s Orders to Fort Hood Dislocated Worker (laid off from a job) – Proof of Dislocation and Social Security Card and Birth Certificate or Permanent Resident Documentation Proof of last employment with employer contact name and phone or last pay stub with that information Required Documentation
