Efficient and effective e-communications and business processes throughout the College. • Walsall College offer modern approaches to its business processes through extensive use of: • SharePoint 2010 • SQL 2008 RS • Virtual App • Windows 7 • Reporting services, analysis/integration services • Visual studio including, business intelligence and cube analysis • Dynamics CRM for stakeholder records and activity • Current and future developments: • Lync unified communication • Further development of Dynamics and Business Intelligence • Windows 8 and virtual desktop (access (Citrix)).

Impact – you can make a difference • Walsall College’s success rates are increasing year-on-year, whilst business efficiency savings are over £100,000 per year and increasing. • Attendance up 4% (90%); Retention 93%; Success 88% • New Staff development infrastructure with online booking system (50 sessions per month) • Over £18,000 saving in CPD coordination. • Savings on quality surveys, in excess of £25,000 per year. • 30% efficiency saving in HR for annual leave management (£8,500) • Saving on Functional Skills team, in excess of £30,000 per year. • Good success rates for 2010/11 Functional Skills at 82% • Identified as ‘best practice’ by AoC (Becta Beacon Award 2010/11) QAA (IQER visit – 2010) and Investor in People (2010) (nominated TES award 2011) • Savings through central resources reducing duplication, estimated at £20,000 • Estimated £8,000 per year saving on paperless meetings. • Income diversity, offering our services to other organisations (over £100,000 (MOODLE))
