RIVER WHAT IS A RIVER? • Made up of water that continuously flows downward. • Originates from the tops of mountains. • Ends at an ocean or a sea. • Carries rocks and sand with it. • Creates erosion. • Sculptors of land such as channels, canyons, and valleys.

Current – A large Amount of water Moving in one direction With great force. Tide – the rise and fall of water caused by gravitational pull from the position of the sun, moon, and rotation of the earth. Happens twice a day.

VALLEY WHAT IS A VALLEY? • Located between mountains and hills. • A deep groove with a river running through it. • Has a V shape.
