NaOH = 22.99 g/mol + 16.00 g/mol + 1.01 g/mol Molar mass of NaOH = 40.00 g/mol 1 mole NaOH= 40.00 g NaOH Cross multiply and solve for x. (x mol NaOH) = (5.69 g NaOH)(1 mol NaOH) 40.00 g NaOH = 0.14225 moles NaOH 3 sig figs = 0.142 moles NaOH

(x mol SO2) = (128.14 g SO2)(1 mol SO2) 64.07 g SO2 = 2 moles SO2 4 sig figs = 2.000 moles SO2
