  1. May Technical Meeting: Section Awards Night THURSDAY, MAY 12, 2011 • Brico Welding & Fab. Inc. is pleased to host the May AWS Detroit Section Technical Meeting and Section Awards Night. • Technical Meeting and Plant Tour:Brico Welding & Fab. Incorporated is an innovative fabricator specializing in custom aluminum and stainless steel weldments for commercial clients in the defense, aerospace, automotive, and other industries. • Starting in 1992 with “only one employee, one welding machine, and a disc sander,” founder Brian W. Coons grew the business to it’s current 20 employees housed in a 30,000 sq. ft. facility. Brian and his son, Bradford Coons, invite the section to tour their complex where you will see various aerospace and other projects on display. • Section Awards: We will be presenting awards to the following individuals who have distinguished themselves in the welding industry and as who have gone above and beyond in their service to the AWS Detroit Section: • Section Appreciation Citations: • Dave Kelly • Shirley Kowalski • Rod Bereznicki • Bruce Kelly • Section Distinguished Service Awards: • F.T.
