  11. StimulatingInteraction • Does it generate in terms of language? • Does it follow the ‘learning by doing’ philosophy? • Does it practice the language through controlled speaking?

  12. Skills • Does it encourage students to develop necessary skills for their professions? • Does it allow students to gain confidence implementing those skills?

  13. Form, Function and Authenticity • Does it focus on both form and function? • Does the language sound real?

  14. Coherence • Are the activities in the units linked clearly? • Is there consolidation of previous language points?

  15. User-friendly • Are the instructions clear for the students? • Is the presentation of the new vocabulary / grammar clear? • Are the exercises clear? • Is it understandable for the trainers?

  16. Durability • Will the exercise still be relevant in 20 years time?

  17. Likeability • Do you, as a pedagogue, like this activity?
