Replacing Colour. In GIMP, open your image by clicking on Open and find your file. Use the Eraser tool to erase the background. Use [ or ] to make the eraser bigger to smaller. Smaller is better for tight spaces or when you are closer to the subject. Add the Layers box.

In GIMP, open your image by clicking on Open and find your file
Use [ or ] to make the eraser bigger to smaller. Smaller is better for tight spaces or when you are closer to the subject.
Right-click on the new top layer and select “Add Alpha Channel”
Use the Free Select tool to trace the area you want to colour
If you need to erase some of the colour, use the eraser tool. Right-click and go Select-> None to get rid of the squiggly lines.
To add another colour, select the top layer and repeat the process! Don’t forget to make sure it is on Alpha Channel.
