The Kenya Open Data initiative aims to improve social service delivery by making government-collected information more accessible. Infrastructure and universal access to open data help identify areas in need, allocate resources, and promote transparency and accountability. Open data innovations have brought underserved places to light, mobilizing citizens, government, and CSOs into action.
